What is the Triathlon Challenge?
Triathlon is an exciting and challenging sport that combines swimming, cycling, and running in sequence. It builds whole-body strength, endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and mental toughness, while helping you develop skills across all three disciplines.
The 10-Week Tri Challenge at Jindalee Fitness is a structured and supportive program designed for all fitness levels, guiding participants through progressive training while building confidence and capability in triathlon.
Training is based at Jindalee Fitness and includes access to the 25-metre heated pool, along with local bike tracks, quiet roads, and running paths.
Indoor cycling and running options are available when weather conditions are unsafe.

Who is this challenge for?
This program is designed for beginner to intermediate athletes.
- A basic proficiency in swimming, cycling, and running is assumed.
- Training aims to build fitness, improve technique, and develop confidence across all three disciplines.
You are welcome to join for individual sessions even if you need to skip a discipline due to injury or ability. Many triathlon events allow participants to compete in 1 or 2 disciplines only.

Shane Kent
Shane Kent is a local triathlon legend, and an all-round great guy. He has competed across every major triathlon distance, from sprint and Olympic events to Ironman, Double Ironman, and Ultraman Australia, which he won in 2021. In 2025, Shane completed one of the world’s toughest endurance challenges: a triathlon from London to Paris in an incredible 57 hours, including swimming the English Channel.
With decades of experience, Shane brings a wealth of knowledge in endurance training, racing, and fueling. If it’s worth knowing about long-distance performance, chances are Shane’s lived it.
Beyond racing, Shane is a passionate advocate for charities including Movember and Neuroendocrine Cancer, regularly pushing himself through extraordinary endurance feats to raise awareness and funds. We’re incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from his experience, insight, and approach to training.

Participants must be a paying member of Jindalee Fitness for the full duration of the challenge. The $325 Tri Challenge fee is payable at reception.
